The Gradiška City Assembly made a decision to award the honorary citizen of Gradiška to the Italian businessman Luigino Pozzo, president and owner of the PMP group, within which the company “PMP Jelšingrad – Fabrika mašina” operates, on the occasion of the City Day – April 24.
The recognition was given, at the proposal of the mayor of Gradiška, Zoran Adžić, to Mr. Pozzo for his significant contribution to the development and promotion of the city, especially in the fields of economy, education, and social and humanitarian work.
Adžić reminded that 15 years ago, Mr. Pozzo and his company privatized the city’s “Jelšingrad”, invested 45 million euros and increased the number of employees from 50 to the current 300 workers.
“The Assembly made a decision to make Luigino Pozzo an Honorary Citizen of Gradiska not only because of his significant results in the economy, but also because of his humanity. He helped people from Gradiska who needed organ transplants to go to the hospital in Padua and perform the operation even though there were no domestic funds agreement with that institution, and his company supported numerous cultural, sports and other events,” said Adžić.
